NCAA Dynasty Series: Letran Knights

Colegio de San Juan de Letran Knights, 1992, 1998 and 1999
Letran is still the winningest team in the oldest Collegiate League in the land. In the 90’s, they had three different coaches to lead them to three different championships including back to back titles, proof of a winning program plus the school’s dedication to winning.
Season 68
Letran Alum, former player and Head Coach Rudolph Hines captured the Season 68 title with a game 2 victory over San Sebastian, 94-85, with line up composed of Francis Arabit, Joven Banez, Eric Castillo, Gilbert Castillo, Carlito Espiritu, Gian Evidente, Paul Guerrero, Jovito Macatugal, Dennis Marcelo, James Milan, Efrain Soto, Wilmon Yu and Ronald Pena.
San Sebastian captured the 1st round. Letran got the 2nd round after winning its playoff encounter over the Golden Stags thus forcing a best of three finals series.
Letran won game 1, 98-91, without injured Rodney Santos in the line up for San Sebastian.
Season 74
Rookie Coach Louie Alas had Aldin Ayo, Marlon Bernal, Christian Calaguio, Edgar Lee, Anthony Lim, Jason Misolas, William Moody, Paul Moreno, Jose Pacheco, John Prior, Allan Salangsang, Marcelino Soriano, Orlan Tama, Erwin Velez and Kerby Raymundo. With a very promising young line up, Letran went 2-0 in the finals over San Sebastian and end its 5 year reign in the league.
Season 75
With Christian Calaguio no longer in the Knights line up, the team is practically intact to make another run for a back to back title. Letran’s status this season – 4th place in the standings, has never won a match against Perpetual Help and Jose Rizal College and they have to win twice over league leader San Sebastian.
The probability of making it, very slim. But Coach Binky Favis pulled off a squeaker by winning over the Heavy Bombers twice in the finals to capture the Season 75 title. Kerby Raymundo garnered Defensive player of the Year, a Mythical Five inclusion and MVP honors all in the same year.

us secretary of state and former first lady hillary clinton is having a presscon at UST right now, but guess who’s rubbing elbows with her as the student panelist? ATENEAN CHRIS TIU.
what a slap on the face of the thomasians, no surprises though, no one’s qualified from their end to act as student panelist, whether it be from their overrated basketball and volleyball teams or from the general student population.
i wonder though why mrs. clinton didn’t choose to have her presscon at san beda especially since this is a stone’s throw away from malacanang? is it because the estero stinks? or is it because she’s afraid that ogie menor will be the student panelist?
ONE BIG FIGHT!

No self-respecting Atenean would prop themselves up with an unrelated pedestrian post that only a bare-minded lumpen can bring to the table.
Neither will any other intelligent thinking being sell it nor buy into it.
Ergo, neither will I.
Try again, moron. It’s so entertaining seeing the likes of you fall short of the minimal thresholds of logic and common sense.
Ahihihihihi….

It’s so nice to know that the lumpen poser with my name took time off to dislay its landfill wit, if you can call it that.
Thanks for the validation, dimwit. Nice to know something’s affected by my presence. How can it match wits with me when I have it and it doesn’t?
Such is the way of the incompetent.
Enjoy the weekend.

okay so you guys won so what?
I find it amusing that many are actually talking about Bantay-Bata as if it’s a contest between the two leagues.
It’s just one of those charitable endeavors whose “purpose” should be taken much seriously than “vehicle”.
The promoters are painting this as a “contest” and trying to tickle the fancy of school supporters.
However, I never liked this way of raising funds for charity on the first place. Ergo, I am not interested on the “contest” angle nor the composition of the NCAA team.
This is not a contest. It’s an attempt by big business to look good. nyahhahahaha.
Charitable endeavors emanating from big corporations are always suspicious.

@UAAP astig!
Do you really know who you are ranting against?
You are twice as dumb as you have cared to display.
You are ranting at the WRONG SIDE.
I’m with the OTHER SIDE.
