Bravo Baste!!! Golden Stags win NCAA Season 85 Title

The San Sebastian Golden Stags completed a sweep of their best of three series against the San Beda Red Lions, 76-61 on October 24, 2009 to clinch their 12th championship title. After winning Game 1 of the Finals last thurs in double overtime with a score of 72-68, the Golden Stags clearly had momentum to win it in Game 2.
The Red Lions were 0 of 15 in the fourth quarter from the field. The Golden Stags capitalized on San Beda’ drought led by Jimbo Aquino with 10 points in the final quarter for a total of 15 points in the 2nd half.
The biggest lead of the Red Lions stood at 12 points, 28-40 early in the third period. Turnovers hurt the three-time defending champions with 26 against San Sebastian’s 14 turnovers.
The Golden Stags grabbed the lead at 59-56, after trailing by 2-points with a triple from Aquino and never looked back. The Golden Stags were in full control with a 10 point margin in the final minutes of regulation, 68-58.
“You got to give it to San Sebastian. They wanted it more so congratulations to them for giving it their all. Nobody expected San Sebastian to win two straight and wipe us out in the Finals. You have to give credit to Ato[ Agustin]. Not to make excuses but I think we couldn’t make a shot in the fourth quarter, wala kaming field goal and we couldn’t shoot.” The Red Lions are losing 5 players to graduation led by Bam Gamalinda, Jay-r Taganas, JR Tecson, Chico Tirona and Jerome Villanueva, said a proud Red Lions Head Coach Frankie Lim who already gave San Beda two NCAA Titles.
“I have to give credit to everyone who has believed in us despite being a very young team. We worked really hard to be in this place. When I accepted the job last November, I worked at my program and luckily it worked. My Players responded well. They were committed”, said a jubilant San Sebastian Head Coach Ato Agustin after winning his first collegiate title as a rookie mentor.

Nanalo Si Paquiao. Kitang kita tinalo nya dayuhan. Talagang magagaling ang mga pinoy. Kaya sa NCAA, UAAP at sa iba pang liga, galingan nyo katulad ni Paquiao. Hindi natin kailangan ang mga dayuhan para sabihin nanalo lang tayo.

yung mga nagpepretend that they are a sebastinian tapos sinsabi na they are rapists..pokpok o wathever na hindi magandang pakinggan..may mga magulang ba kayo?????..excuse me baka ibang sebastinian kayo..baka galing kayo sa eskwelahan na walang originality..kung tama nga ako wag nio naman sana gamitin ang sa min..we are all Filipino and walang halong mga taga ibang planeta..
