The Arellano Flaming Arrows changed their monicker to Chiefs just a couple of years ago, in honor of Cayetano Arellano, whom the school is named after, being the first CHIEF Justice of the Philippine Supreme Court. Thus, unlike the Kansas City Chiefs of the NFL in the States whose “Chiefs” refer to Native Americans wearing long feathery headdresses, the Arellano version is more of stoic, allegedly impartial and unbiased gentlemen (and now, women) in long black robes. Go figure.

Arellano University is stronger than other NCAA SCHOOLS. I think they can match up with San Beda, but if ekwe will still play with the lions, i think AU will lose.

Jervy Cruz did not play because of a hamstring injury that he suffered since the the season. In fact, Jervy Cruz was hurting all season. As you may know, the only remedy for this kind of injury is complete rest.

Such a disappointing season for UST…terrible UAAP record and now, getting booted out by the Chiefs. We have to hand it to Arellano. Two weeks ago, Chris Soler and I got into a discussion before appearing on One U, and Chris said that if the Arellano line-up is complete, they have a good chance of “upsetting” UST. He was right. How far the mightiest from 3 UAAP seasons ago has fallen! Kudos to the Chiefs. Sandali nalang, buo na ang brackets ng PCC. It’s gonna be exciting.

I think UST should terminate Pido Jarencio because he’s philosophy and system is not working anymore with the team.

Alfrancis Chua and Binky Favis played for UST before, i suggest the Sports Admin of UST to choose between these two professional coaches.

Arellano’s inclusion in the NCAA is now a possibility. They just have to undergo Audit – like facilities, expecially recruitment etc.

Pero magaling at swerte talaga itong si coach leo kac sa bunutan napunta sa braket A ang Mapua at sa braket B ang Arellano, so ibig sabihin KUNG PALARIN sa FINALS na pede magharap ang ARELLANO at MAPUA (ulitin ko kung palarin).

i think UST played well in the wildcard and zonal phase guys, but they were just outclassed by a very very good team of Arellano U, actually mas madali masabi na Arellano was the better team in that meet.

what the hell is wrong with UST?
mukhang mahihirapan na sila makabangon next season.
but anyway, it’s great to see that Arellano is now
emerging as one of the basketball power in college
hoops. sana makapasok sila sa NCAA.

can’t wait to see the Red Lions play again. :))
