Opinions lang naman to so walang tama:

MVP: Rabeh, with Jervy as runner up. Tiu and Casio are too close to differentiate and I think the big men have th edge.

Mythical 5: Rabeh, Maierhofer, Ababou (good stats, but disappointing performance), Tiu, Casio

    Sixth Man: Maierhofer

Defensive Player: Baclao is the better defender, but if stats are a heavy component, Asoro will probably win.

ROY: Buenafe because Zamar improved too late

Re rookie busts, I have to say I only agree with Salva. Chua, while highly touted, is not really expected to contribute this year, while Burke was not even touted to contribute at all. Any contribution from him is a bonus.

Jv casio and rico maierhofer are on the same level. I think Rabeh should win MVP. Di ako atenista pero magaling talaga xa. Pwede din si Chris Tiu. Rookie of the year- ryan buenafe talaga e.

it’s so unfair that people are saying ateneo paid off narvasa. the team improved a lot and that’s why they’re winning. They’re the most consistent team in the league right now. Ang kulit ng laro ng ibang teams. Ateneo- maaasahan. Ateneo also has the BEST defense, no contest.

    Super Sub Rico Maierhofer

    Mr. Let Down PJ Walsham

    Miss Courtside Sharon Yu

    Best Actor Chris Tiu

“hindi basehan ang pagpasok sa final 4 sa pagpili ng MVP. sabi nga ni mr. atayde, regular season lang ang pinagbabasehan sa pagpili ng MVP”
So pwede pa nga si jervy? Kaso, mukhang si rabeh na to.

@ x, choosing the MVP through media voting, how is that done?I’m still hoping for Jervy to make it this year. Remember how the UE and DLSU audience were cheering Go USTE last year?Magical.

“Sino Favorite and Least Favorite Courtside Reporter of the year niyo?

When it comes to basketball knowledge,I salute that guy from Adamson. He incorporates basketball lingos well,he can very well be a commentator for the NCAA.

Overall,Sharon Yu’s my choice. She speaks smoothly and she gives interesting behind the scenes stories, not to mention she’s the prettiest.

Least Favorite? Alexis Go,she lacks conviction of her basketball reports.Enough of the motherhood statements.
Most Useless Bench Player: Rejan Lee. But he isn’t entirely useless. When they need to foul, Franz can send him in.
I asked my cousin who was classmates with him, hindi totoo na naging sila ni Sharon. Mabuti naman!

Best Fashion Statement: James Martinez for bringing the wrong shorts—>> Panalo

“Sino Favorite and Least Favorite Courtside Reporter of the year niyo?”

Kamae de Jesus of Ateneo is really hot. Alexis Go (the Aubrey Miles look-alike) of UE is kinda cute, too.. but Kamae takes my vote because she’s really pretty and has a rockin’ bod. =)

Actually, ever since final four was introduced way back in 1994, there’s no player from a non-final four squad has been named as MVP. But who knows, Jervy could make history this time. Everyone knows, there’s no doubt Jervy should be the MVP. If it’s not because of the early exit of the Tigers this season, 100% sure, he’ll get this award again. Ok, enough of that, let’s just wait and see who will really get the prestigious recognition.

    @ X

no im not bitter. i accept the fact that were not able to make it to the final 4. i just dont like the way the ateneans were behaving right now for being the number one this season. pero hindi pa kayo ang champion kaya wag muna kayo magyabang. sana lang hindi talaga mangyari sa inyo

  • pen  Add karma Subtract karma  +1

nung 2006 sbrang lakas ng admu kso talo s finals! nung 2007 sbrang lakas ng Ue kso talo s finals!
admu tinalo ng underdog na ust nung 2006 finals, ue tinalo naman ng 2nd seed na dlsu s finals… bottom line is even though ur team is d strongest in the elim it doesnt mean that ur team will also be champs

    @tomasino.

MVP means MOST VALUABLE player. not highest in stats. aside from media voting (which is 50% and always go to playoff teams), the contribution of the valuable player to the team’s success is a large factor. however, success didn’t come to UST this year.

If you were asking the last time, it was 2002, 6 years ago. this aint bad. your so bitter that even though your team was supposed to contend, your team is a failure.
don’t worry, the title will go to us this year. hindi kami UE. Kami ang Ateneo. and we’re well aware of the the upset that can happen.

    “payo lang mga pare.

magchampion muna kayo bago kayo magyabang. ang ateneo kase, sa pagkakaalam ko, every season, magagaling lagi mga players nila. pero hindi nagiging champion. kailan na nga ba ang huling beses na nagchampion kayo?

sa finals. i wish lasalle all the best. lasalle ang mananalo!”

jv is the best player in lasalle, but in the league, i’d beg to differ. sorry to say this but as long as there are votes needed to determine the mvp, the voters’ bias would always play a role. of course, this is not saying that whoever wins the mvp is not really the best in the league. peace.

Everyone should now shut the #&$% up about JV Casio being an MVP candidate. hahaha.

He isn’t even the best player on his team.

This has got to be the worst column on inbound pass.

hindi basehan ang pagpasok sa final 4 sa pagpili ng MVP. sabi nga ni mr. atayde, regular season lang ang pinagbabasehan sa pagpili ng MVP. so what’s the importance of being in the final 4?

    @tomasino:

if being extremely valuable to one’s team were the sole criterion for choosing the MVP, both chris and rabeh (and perhaps, esp chris) would be equally worthy contenders.
in the end, the statisticians and media voters will be the ones to do the choosing. (in which case, i believe either rabeh or chris has the strongest chances of prevailing.)
that’s just my opinion. you’re entitled to disagree, of course. (provided you’re a civilized, level-headed individual)

    @ yellow_we

GO USTe!!

aside from UST, i bet for lasalle. ANIMO LASALLE!

    GO USTe!

    ANIMO LASALLE!

Wow Mr. Atayde, your MVP played well today. He lit up the scoreboard with 3 pts on a dazzling display of step back Js and 3s that missed. And his defense was so stellar that ,on one play, Jai Reyes leisurely shot a 3 pointer right in his face.

On the other hand, Rabeh Al-Hussaini was horrible: 18 pts and 11 rebounds. Such lousy numbers for an MVP candidate. HAHAHAHA

You’re putting the good name of your school to shame. It’s a good thing not all Lasallians are as dim-witted as you.

Anyway great game kanina. We didn’t need a win but it was a good mental victory going into the final 4 against UE who was also impressive against FEU.

    One Big Fight!

    @ BACLAO:

PLS STOP USING NAMES!! ashamed on you, discrediting other people’s reputable stance just for personal and malicious gain.. I have high regard for Noy Baclao the way he plays basketball is superb, you can count on him both in offense and defense. You should check his blocks department during the ADMU-LS game its MONSTER-GODLIKE as they say it in some computer games.. As I see it the way you put together your thoughts here in this room, I’m very convinced that you didn’t even have a formal education.. Your manners,is that what they teach you at your so called school..ashamed!! for they have products like you..
