I believe the true fans are those who stay with their team, believing in them, not just in their victories, but even through in their losses.

I was a student there the last time they made that serious gun towards the final four. It was a Lito Vergara-led team with Toti Almeda, Marvin Cruz, Abby Santos, Nestor David, Jireh Ibañes and others in that time (i think J. Agbayani was part of that team already). It was that time that they nearly swept the entire second round of the season.

Though UP has lost these players, I’d say they still have the key ingredients to winning each of the last games. Kaya naman nila yan talaga, eh!

As for Adamson, well, I say it was quite a gesture for the coach to do that disciplinary action against his players. That speaks a lot of his character. More than the desire to win, the premium for character ought to be top priority. This is being said not out of prejudice for Adamson. My parents were both graduates of adamson, a.a.m.o.f.

Be that as it may, nice game UP and Adamson.

And not everybody perceives Adamson as the way you seem to do. In fairness to the university, they have established their names in certain areas, just as the other universities have. Basketball will never be a good basis of an institution’s competence. :P

By the way, the Philippine Institute of Pure and Applied Chemistry (PIPAC) is actually in the Ateneo. Hehe. No harm meant.

Anyway, lupit pala nang chemists sa Adamson Univ.

Pumupunta pala ang mga taga-NBI to a test samples, like forensics and presentaion of evidences.

Too bad their “soaring falcons” makes the university look like they were down by 30 points by everybody.

Well, UP lost to UE by 30 before playing Adamson. Hard to second-guess what’s in coach Leo’s mind, but being the professional that he is, I’m inclined to take it as I see/read it, that it’s simply a disciplinary action, nothing more.
