Nail-Biter Week, Baracael Back In Practice.

There are Interesting games coming up this week. On Thursday, Ateneo meets UE and this will definitely be a good game.
UE has to win to keep its Final Four drive on track. The Red Warriors are trying to catch FEU in 3rd place and even have a chance at the 2nd seed if they win all their remaining games. A loss by the Blue Eagles will put them in a tie with La Salle and only 1 game ahead of FEU.
UST will be playing NU on Saturday and a loss by the Growling Tigers will end their Final Four chances. UST still has a mathematical chance of getting a tie for 4th place if they win all their games and the top teams lose.
DLSU goes up against FEU also on Saturday and they will be doing it without Coach Franz Pumaren. A win by La Salle will solidify their hold on 2nd place. A win by FEU will put them in a tie for 2nd with La Salle. For the tiebreaker, FEU will have to beat La Salle by more than 9 points to stay ahead.
On Sunday UE faces Adamson, a team they lost to in the first round. The Falcons will come In with a lot of confidence after that first round win.
This will surely be a week that will make the Final Four either clearer or very uncertain in terms of standings.
I learned from a very reliable source that Robert Kave is not coming back this year, as earlier reported. He is said to be returning next season.
The good news is that FEU’s Mac Baracael is back practicing with the team. It was reported that he even had a monster dunk in practice. I guess the Tamaraws are getting ready for the Final Four.
It will be great to see Baracael back in uniform and I am sure that Coach Glen Capacio is hoping to get this addition to his depleted line-up. If Baracael returns, expect the Tamaraws to be very motivated to win every game.
Depending on how far the Philippine Youth Team gets in their tournament in Iran, Franz Pumaren may be back only when the Final Four begins. I hope the Green Archers win at least 2 games while he is away.
Looks like Chris Tiu lost his luster in their last game against Adamson when he scored only 2 points. Lucky for Ateneo that Eric “The Tongue Salamat came out strong.
With the regular season coming to an end, expect the bad officiating to get even worse. I don’t think that the referees are able to keep up with the pressure.
Unconfirmed reports have it that the Commissioner will be back next year when FEU hosts Season 72. If this is true, then it will be rewarding a person for a terrible job this year. I hope these reports are false.

@turista
yung ranking mo bulok na. 2006 pa iyan. latest is 2007 and once again Ateneo proved that it’s better than La Salle. Isang taon lang humirit ang LaSalle sa Ateneo. UP by the way is in declining mode. Ateneo on the other hand, is always going up.

I agree with you. In fairness top ADMU they really did a great job in every game. Added to this, ang crowd nila eg nandun win or lose..d tulad ng iba jan dumarami lng pagfinals na..bglang proud na school nila..pero pagtalo halos ikaila.. if i know ang mga players nila sinsabihan nilang mga bobo.. hello? galing kayo sa same school..nakakatawa lng.. pagnananalo eh kala mo kung cnu makapanlait ng other schools.
Tama. GROW UP.
