where’s the love for the juniors for both the uaap and the ncaa?? this is a topic that should also be discussed..wala man lang support from the sponsors and the channel covering both the leagues, kahit delayed telecast man lang..i’d much rather watch the juniors than some crummy old movie, series re-run or teleserye every afternoon..

@chief waka-waka: I share the same sentiments. Where’s everyone? I dig the NCAA even if I am not from any NCAA school. Sometimes I even prefer it over the UAAP. I have no idea why supporters and alumni aren’t cheering their schools on.

@Grrr!: “Freedom of speech” and “corruption” just cause our program isn’t functioning well? Wow, you surely can connect the dots, and fast I might add.

If anything, we’re the ones who’ve been dishing out the strongest of opinions while at the same time giving all of you the chance to speak up. So don’t abuse it. Chill, it’s a program that hasn’t been corrected, not corruption in the making.

@mapuan: Yes, you’re a few blocks away from Letran. Unfortunately I haven’t come face-to-face with Mapuans, especially in games, so I can’t tell.

If you could help out and encourage your friends to watch the games, it would be highly appreciated. Mapua is still arguably the most dangerous offensive team in the NCAA, so that should be a come-on.

And yes, I am not from Letran but I enjoy seeing the crowd from Muralla. You guys have a swagger that’s not arrogant, but confident. I enjoy it a lot even if I am from a UAAP school.

Sir Christian nice article! the problem of letran is its population. the new management of CSJL reduced the number of required class (P.E class) to watch the games, but i dont have any problem with that because its a conflict on what to prioritize, academics or sports? On the current season of NCAA.. a great 2nd round, final 4 and finals is ahead of us.. letran - san beda round 1 on July 30!

if i may say my two cents worth comments on the lack of attendance in ncaa games. I guess its the proximity of the venue from the member schools. Economics also has to do with it. the unabated and spiralling cost of fuel has created a domino effect that watching a live game has become prohibitive.to be sure,putting food on the table would top the list for majority of filipino families. having said that, others may counter that the uaap is packing them in, except for ust which is in manila, the venue of the uaap which is ultra is within striking distance of uaap member schools. moreover, the uaap games are played during weekends unlike the ncaa. lastly, i hate to admit this, but the exodus of admu and dlsu has depleted the ncaa of its glamour and popularity that attendance plummeted.

I think it is true that this NASBRO group should get some polishing up. Just this Sunday, we were able to witness another “great job” by the group. And get this, even in the younger level. They get thier way because they are the officials? Who will get in thier way? This has been going on for sometime especially with this group. I think they must be investigated.

@Grrr!: Perhaps, and hopefully. Friday’s game against JRU won’t be an acid test for the Mapuans, cause it’s a given that they’ll watch.

I really wanna see Mapuans and even students from San Sebastian watch the games. They’ve got top-caliber teams. I have a good feeling that the Stags will rally in the second round, so their school has a lot to watch out for.
