Nike Summer League: Blue Eagles in the Finals

ATENEO De Manila University used a huge scoring run in the second quater to beat De La Salle University, 70-60, to clinch the last finals slot in the Nike Summer League last June 11, 2008 at the Philsports Arena in Pasig City.
Down by 8-18 in the first period, the Blue Eagles relied heavily on Chris Tiu to power Ateneo to a 24-2 attack bridging the early part of second quarter and seize the edge by halftime, 32-20.
The Blue Eagles took a 58-47 lead late in the third quarter and never went back to earth to face early finalist University of the East in the finals on Sunday, June 15, 2008 at the same venue.
6-foot-7 center Rabeh Al Hussaini erupted for 20 points, including 7 points in the final quarter. While Chris Tiu made 17 points and rookie Ryan Buenafe added 11 points to get rid of the Green Archers.

ateneo has lots of good, great and handsome players in their line up tiu, burke, long, and salva, they had great and wonderful crown they had the best school hymn today

van, the only thing i can say about SOME of the universities in the top 500 of this list, not ateneo, not up, is that they pale in comparison to the top 4 (up, admu, dlsu, ust) universities in the phils.
don’t ask me how i know. just take my word for it.
i can even say schools like san beda, mapua, etc. may even beat some of them who are in the list.
