Growling Tigers slowly climbing the ladder

Coach Pido Jarencio post game interview:
The Falcons thought they are always in a scrimmage. They would start really strong, even outscoring their opponent. But after awhile, they’d get lost in the game and bury themselves in double-digit deficits until time expires.
The Falcons and the Growling Tigers fought bumper to bumper ending the first quarter tied at 16. However, UST’s consistency overwhelmed Adamson, 74-62, to get win no. 8 at the Araneta Coliseum last September 9.
The Growling Tigers started to move forward in the second quarter that ended with UST on top by eight, 32-24.
Francis Allera nailed a three-pointer with 58.3 left in the third quarter to increase their lead to twelve, 49-37. UST maintained an 11-point advantage, 50-39, after three quarters.
UST sparked a 7-0 run with 9:08 minutes in the clock that put UST on top by fourteen, 57-43. The yellow shirts remained in control all through out the game for a 74-62 finish.
Meanwhile, Coach Pido Jarencio thinks it is too early to talk about the final four.
“Ang importante manalo kami sa next game naming tapos saka na lang iisipin ‘ung standing, he said.

The Dont Mind

Dont mind me
BUT it is possible for UST to have the #2 spot.
But there are a few conditions.
DLSU loses vs. UE
NU wins vs ADMU
and UST wins over FEU
with the three way tie, the quotient system would go into play.
If we (my barkada) calculated it right,
the quotient for the three schools would be
UST +13
ADMU -7
DLSU -8
but then again we’re not that sure of our calculations. feel free to adjust :)

hmmm… the possibility of ADMU losing to NU is slim but is not impossible. But I hope DLSU wins over UE, because I dont like the “Step-ladder” format.

the don’t mind,
if you’re going to do some calculations with conditions, might as well consider the probabilities (based on past games performances) on your conditions. for example,
ADMU vs NU - the probability ADMU wins is probably at 80% or even 90%
DLSU vs UE - 60-40 in favor of UE
UST vs FEU - 50-50 with slight edge on UST
based on this, the scenario you’re trying to predict has a very slim chance of becoming true.
i know it is possible for UST to be no. 2 but that is wishful thinking. predicting a final four finish for UST is more likely and believable.

hey, should UST lose to FEU tomorrow, is UST out in the FInal Four since FEU beaten them twice in the elims or a playoff between the two will take place for the final spot? Please advise.. thanks! ;)
